Our Commitment to Missions

Missions mapRedland is a church that believes in missions. We give a percentage of our offerings to cooperative mission efforts and also include funds for individual missions endeavors in our annual budget.

But our church doesn’t just believe in GIVING to missions—we believe in DOING missions. We take seriously the command of our Lord in Acts 1:8 where He said, “You shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” In fact, we organize our annual mission labors according to this Scriptural outline.

Jerusalem and Judea Missions

We share God’s love with the people who are geographically closest to us with things like Vacation Bible School, Sports Camps, Graded Choirs, Cantatas, community events, Sunday School and Worship. We also participate in ministries to those in our area who have physical needs by working with Habitat for Humanity and local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Samaria Missions

We partner with other churches in the continental United States. Recently we have made several trips to areas ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. In the past we’ve worked with churches in New Hampshire, Delaware, North Dakota and West Virginia.

Ends of the Earth Missions

Redland has sent mission teams to Rwanda, Kenya, Romania, Mexico, and Nicaragua. Those teams have led Vacation Bible Schools, built homes and churches, done street evangelism, and ministered in prisons and hospitals.

We’re excited about all the opportunities God will give us in the future to join Him in His great work of sharing the gospel with a lost world both through our giving and our going.
